Renovation & resurfacing

Pool renovation & resurfacing

A sound pool that simply looks dated does not need replacing, it needs bringing back. We resurface the interior, renew the coping and tiling, upgrade tired equipment and bring the fence up to current compliance, all to a fixed price after we have checked the shell is worth it.

Pool renovation & resurfacing by Aqualine Pools
Scope

What this job includes.

  • Interior resurfacing in quartz, pebble or fully tiled finishes
  • New coping, waterline tiling and surrounds to refresh the whole look
  • Equipment upgrades to efficient, quieter, variable-speed plant
  • Fence and barrier brought up to current Queensland compliance
Our system: We check the shell before we quote. If a renovation is honest we price it line by line; if the structure is failing we say so, because resurfacing a dying pool is money burned.
How we quote it

One fixed price, every cost named.

Before you sign, the ground, the access and the fencing line are surveyed and priced. No provisional sums, no guesses left to settle later. The price that starts your build is the price that finishes it.

The 7-line quote
  1. 1 The site survey, costed. Soil and rock tested, fall and access measured, fencing line set. The ground conditions that blow other quotes out are priced here, not discovered mid-dig.
  2. 2 The pool, specified by name. Shell type, dimensions, depth, interior finish (the exact pebble or tile range), coping and waterline, all named. No "or similar".
  3. 3 Plant, fencing and compliance. Pump, filtration, sanitiser and the certified fence and barrier, listed as line items. Compliance certification is in the price, not a surprise at handover.
  4. 4 One fixed price, and the build program. A single contract price with no provisional sums, beside a dated build program. The number that starts the build is the number that finishes it.
If a quote doesn’t show these lines, you can’t compare it, and you don’t know what’s been cut.
How it runs

What happens, step by step.

1

Talk through the backyard

Tell us the space, the look and the budget. We talk straight about what fits and what it really costs before anyone visits.

2

Site survey and soil test

We test the ground, measure fall and access, and set the fencing line. This is where the costs that ambush other builds get found and priced.

3

One fixed-price proposal

Every line specified and named, a single contract price with no provisional sums, beside a dated build program.

4

Build, certify, hand over

Our own crew across every stage, the barrier certified, the plant commissioned, and a handover walk-through before the first swim.

Insured, covered, guaranteed

The paperwork behind the price.

Public liability to $20M, and a 10-year structural warranty, all in writing, all on request.

Every build is carried out under our QBCC licence, the licence required to build a pool in Queensland, and our public liability cover. The shell we pour carries a written 10-year structural warranty, so if the structure we built fails, we come back and put it right. Ask us for the licence number and the cover, and check them yourself before you pay a deposit.

The cover, the guarantee, and how to check each one.

Questions, answered

Pool renovation & resurfacing: common questions.

How do I know if my pool is worth renovating?
We assess the shell for cracks, movement and water loss first. A structurally sound pool usually renovates beautifully for a fraction of a rebuild. If the structure is failing we will tell you plainly rather than sell you a resurface that will not hold.
Will a renovation trigger a fencing upgrade?
Often, yes. Compliance standards move over the years, so a renovation is the right time to bring an older fence and barrier up to the current Queensland rules. We include that work in the quote rather than leaving it as a later surprise.
